Jalad Bazaar is preparing for launch. The mobile app is under development; ordering, delivery and payment processing are not live. These pages explain the intended customer experience and will be updated before launch where necessary.
What we aim to supply
Jalad Bazaar aims to supply goods that are safe, correctly stored, within applicable date markings, undamaged and consistent with the confirmed order. A valid printed date alone does not automatically prove a perishable item is fit for consumption.
If an item may be unsafe or spoiled
- Stop using or consuming the affected item. Do not taste a suspicious item to test it.
- Retain packaging, batch and date details where reasonably safe, and report promptly.
- Photographs or video may be requested where useful; lack of a photograph will not automatically invalidate a genuine complaint.
Report promptly, without losing your rights
Perishable issues should preferably be reported promptly, ordinarily within 24 hours where practical. This is an operational reporting target, not an automatic cut-off for legal rights or latent defects. Support should reasonably consider the nature of the goods and when the issue became apparent.
Fresh produce, packaging and date issues
Natural differences in size or appearance may occur in fresh produce, but materially poor quality, spoilage or misdescription remains eligible for review. Missing quantity, incorrect items, damaged/leaking/tampered packaging, expired/use-by concerns, recalled goods and unsafe products should be reported. Opening a product to discover a genuine defect does not automatically remove the available remedy.
Remedies and safe handling
Following reasonable verification, the affected item may be replaced or refunded, or another fair remedy provided as appropriate. Follow labelled storage and use instructions after delivery. Safe handling by the customer may be considered when reviewing a complaint, without assuming every quality issue was caused after delivery.
Nothing in these policies removes applicable consumer rights or remedies for defects, spoilage, damage, expiry, unsafe goods, wrong items, misdescription or short supply. Reporting targets do not automatically exclude genuine complaints or latent defects.
